International Showband Golden Collective Perform in Ethiopia
We’ve just returned from Addis Ababa in Ethiopia, where we had the honour of performing at a series of events including a gala dinner supporting the amazing Mathiwos Wondu-YeEthiopia Cancer Society. This organisation does incredible work helping children with cancer in Ethiopia, and it meant so much to us that we could give our support to such an important cause.
The trip was put together by International Diplomatic Supplies in partnership with Sheraton Addis, with everything coordinated seamlessly by our agents at Sole Agency in Dubai. Three shows, three unique vibes, and one unforgettable experience.
Dubai’s Top Band for International Events
We kicked things off at the U.S. Embassy with a garden party performance. The setting was stunning - a relaxed outdoor space, great energy, and the perfect crowd to start the weekend of events. We kept it cool and feel-good with a more laid-back set - the kind of tunes that make you want to grab a drink and stay all afternoon!
Next up was a cocktail evening at the Sheraton Addis, performing for their VIP clients and guests. We turned things up a notch with a set list of soul, disco, and dance classics, and the vibe was amazing.
Then came the main event - the charity gala dinner. The guest list included diplomats and ambassadors from around the world, including the British Ambassador. We mixed in some of our party medleys, and almost immediately, the dance floor was full. No one wanted the live music to end - we were called back onstage for three encores!

Performing in Ethiopia was more than just another destination gig. The people, the culture, the hospitality - it was all next level. Every show had its own energy, but what really stood out was how connected everyone felt through the music.
